How much does individual language training cost? All prices at a glance (2026)
An individual online language training at Instituut Jeroen Bosch costs between € 550 and € 1750 all-in (excl. VAT), depending on the number of hours. This guide shows exactly what you pay, what is included, and how that compares to alternatives such as group courses, apps and hourly private lessons.
If you are looking for language training, you want to know exactly where you stand before you commit. That is why we work with fixed package prices and no surprises afterwards. Below is the complete calculation, including all additional costs.
All-in prices at a glance
Every training consists of the package price plus a one-off € 75 administration fee and € 75 for study materials (physical course materials and app licence). All amounts exclude 21% Dutch VAT; business clients can usually reclaim the VAT.
LanguageBoost (10 hours total): € 400 + € 150 = € 550 all-in excl. VAT (€ 665.50 incl. VAT)
LanguageFocus (20 hours total): € 800 + € 150 = € 950 all-in excl. VAT (€ 1149.50 incl. VAT)
LanguageProgress (30 hours total): € 1200 + € 150 = € 1350 all-in excl. VAT (€ 1633.50 incl. VAT)
LanguageImpact (40 hours total): € 1600 + € 150 = € 1750 all-in excl. VAT (€ 2117.50 incl. VAT)
In every package, half of the hours are live one-on-one online coaching with a certified trainer and the other half is guided self-study with the app and course material. The intake (first 30 minutes) and the final evaluation with CEFR certificate (last 30 minutes) are included in the hours.
How does that compare to the alternatives?
Classroom group course: often a few hundred euros per term, but you share the teacher's attention with an entire group and are tied to fixed evenings. Per hour of actual speaking time, it is often more expensive than it looks.
Hourly private lessons: private language tutors typically charge around € 40 to € 80 per hour, without a programme, materials or certificate. Twenty loose hours quickly cost as much as a fully guided programme.
Language apps: cheap or free, but they lack live speaking practice and personal feedback. They work fine as a supplement, which is exactly why our 50/50 formula combines an app with one-on-one coaching.
When does your employer (or a subsidy) pay?
